How It Works

The Vistage Model

Presidents and CEOs from non-competing companies meet in a confidential facilitated conversation. By bringing their current issues and opportunities to the table for discussion, members receive valuable insights from their peers without an agenda.

Executive Coaching

Members also receive one-on-one executive Coaching. Ideas and ideals are challenged as we dive deep into the issues to discover the heart of the matter.

A Different Path Forward

Your 'Better Decisions' Board

Being in a closed community with leaders means having peers who understand the responsibility that comes with your title. They are committed to helping you see your blind spots so you’ll make better decisions faster.

Five Question Leadership Assessment
  • 1. Have you felt nobody understands the weight you carry?
  • 2. Have you experienced isolation or loneliness in leadership?
  • 3. Are you concerned the perspectives from your team are limited?
  • 4. Are you burned out or lack balance in your life?
  • 5. Are you worried about your leadership effectiveness?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, personal advisory groups would provide a different, better way to be a leader.

Are You a Fit For The Group?

We view this as an investment in the group, in yourself, and in your leadership. It can be challenging to assess value until you experience what happens when we meet and its members. To that end, we’ve developed a system that allows everyone an opportunity to make steps toward understanding if becoming a part of this group is the right decision.

Our Process
  • Schedule a 15-minute introductory conversation.
  • Schedule a second conversation to better understand your goals and your organization.
  • Meet two members of the group, in person or virtually, for Q&A.
  • Attend a meeting as a guest to experience the group firsthand.
  • Meet after the group executive session to assess the experience and value.
  • We make a mutual decision based on your experience and input from the group.
  • Schedule monthly one-to-one executive coaching sessions.

John's Story

About John McNeal

With over two decades of entrepreneurial experience, I transitioned into the role of a Vistage Chair after recognizing the immense value I experienced first as a Vistage member and speaker.

My role as a Vistage Chair is centered on building and facilitating an environment where CEOs and business leaders can thrive, supported by a network of peers who will help them continually become the leader their people and company needs.

Leadership is a privilege, and it’s essential for leaders to invest in their continual self-improvement for the betterment of their people.

Our values, as a group, ensure we stay aligned. They are as follows:

I am trustworthy — I trust, am trustworthy, and honor confidentiality.

I care deeply — I am available and will proactively follow up with others. I show up for others as I want them to show up for me.

I challenge — I ask insightful and tough questions, challenge the status quo, and hold one another accountable.

I am a lifelong learner — I am open to and suggest new ideas. I seek to remove barriers and strive to grow as an individual.
